Pride Texas Festival Auditorium Shores, Austin, Texas Saturday, June 14, noon to 7:00 p.m. map
Join us for Pride Texas 2008 as we celebrate nine-time Grammy Award nominee Meshell Ndegeocello (see video below), opened by Pansy Division. The Festival brings together thousands of Texans, organizations, artists, musicians and out-of-state visitors for the festival, parade and non-stop parties.
Take note that the Festival has moved to Auditorium Shores, an iconic park overlooking Austin’s downtown lake and the city skyline. For the first time ever, the AGLCC Pride Parade will take place shortly after the Festival.
The Festival is a family-friendly environment. Activities for children will be provided, including arts and education centers as provided by local organizations, including the Dougherty Arts Center.
